Where Young People Can Just Be Themselves

New Forest Outreach Support C.I.C Slogan Spark

Our Discovery Youth Club offers fun, engaging sessions designed to give young people a space to relax, socialise, explore their interests and build confidence. Young people can enjoy arts and crafts, gaming, sensory activities, group games, workshops and themed activities, alongside lots of outings, trips and new experiences out in the community. Sessions are shaped around the young people attending, giving them choice, independence and the freedom to take part at their own pace, try something new, build friendships and make positive memories along the way.

Trips & Outings

Our Youth Club trips and outings give teenagers the chance to get out, socialise and enjoy age-appropriate experiences with greater independence. Young people help shape activities and outings around their interests, while experienced staff provide a safe and supportive environment. 1:1 support is available where needed, helping every young person access experiences comfortably and confidently.

Gaming

Our gaming and social sessions give teenagers a relaxed space to switch off, have fun and connect with others. From multiplayer and racing games to board games and friendly challenges, young people can choose what they enjoy, socialise around shared interests and take part at their own pace.

Workshops

Our Youth Club workshops give teenagers the chance to explore new skills, technology and creative interests, including 3D printing, textile design and hands-on projects. Workshops are kept age-appropriate and flexible, giving young people the freedom to experiment, learn something new and create at their own pace.

About Discovery Youth Club

Our Discovery Youth Club is for young people up to 16 years old, giving them a space that feels age-appropriate while still being part of the wider Discovery Club community. We recognise that older young people want different activities, more independence and opportunities to get out and experience new things.

The Youth Club will have its own activities, outings and experiences separate from the younger Discovery Club group, including trips into the community, outdoor adventures, leisure activities, workshops and experiences chosen around the interests of the young people attending. They will also spend time at the Hub, where they can relax, game, get creative, use our different spaces and socialise. There will be opportunities to spend time alongside the wider Discovery Club too, allowing friendships and a sense of community to develop, while still ensuring our Youth Club members have their own space, activities and age-appropriate experiences.

The focus is on choice, friendships, confidence and growing independence — giving young people somewhere they can enjoy being themselves while making some brilliant memories along the way.

Flexible Groups to Suit the Young Person

We understand that age doesn’t always reflect a young person’s developmental stage, interests or support needs. Some of our Youth Club members may still enjoy activities usually associated with our younger Discovery Club group, and we want them to feel completely comfortable joining in. Where appropriate, the groups can come together for shared activities, games, creative sessions, sensory play and special events, while still having the flexibility to separate again depending on what each young person would prefer. With separate Team Leaders overseeing the different groups, young people can take part in different activities or head off to different areas and outings based on what suits them best. This means one group might choose a more independent youth activity while another takes part in something more playful or sensory. All groups remain fully supervised and supported throughout, helping to make sure every young person feels safe, comfortable, included and able to enjoy the session in a way that works for them. The aim is to provide choice without pressure — allowing young people to move between age-appropriate, interest-led and developmental activities rather than feeling restricted.

Sibling Opportunities

Having all age groups within the same club allows siblings to enjoy their own activities and friendships while still coming together for mealtimes and shared experiences. It supports independence for young people while offering families valuable respite and the convenience of one inclusive club.

Discovery Club Times

Discovery Club runs from 8:30am–4:30pm, giving children a full day to enjoy activities, social time and new experiences. For families who need a little extra flexibility, our Late Stayers block is available until 6:00pm, giving parents and carers more time for work, travel or other commitments while children continue to enjoy a relaxed end to their day.

More Independence, More Choice

Youth Club gives young people more freedom to shape their own time. They can choose what they want to get involved in, help decide on activities and outings, socialise with friends or simply relax — without pressure to join organised activities.
