Under 8's

Discovery Club

A fun and gentle introduction to Discovery Club

New Forest Outreach Support C.I.C Slogan Spark

Our Under 8’s Discovery Club offers fun, nurturing 2-hour sessions designed specifically for younger children. Children can enjoy creative activities, sensory play, games, social opportunities and time to explore in a supportive environment. These shorter sessions give them the full Discovery Club experience in a way that is suitable for their age, while also helping them become familiar with the setting if they choose to move up to longer sessions in the future.

Why Are Under 8's Sessions Shorter?

Our Under 8s sessions are kept to two hours to provide younger children with a gentle and manageable introduction to Discovery Club. The shorter session allows them time to explore, play and build relationships with staff without becoming overwhelmed or overtired. It also supports a gradual settling-in period, helping children develop confidence, independence and familiarity with the environment before they may be ready to attend for longer periods in the future.

Why Do We Do Initial Assessments?

We complete an initial assessment before booking so we can get to know your child as an individual, including their interests, preferences, routines and anything that helps them feel comfortable. This allows our team to prepare activities and resources they’ll enjoy, plan the right level of support and create an inclusive experience that is tailored to them from the very beginning.
