Service Description
Under 8s Discovery Club 🦉 Our Under 8's Discovery Club offers fun, nurturing and age-appropriate two-hour sessions for younger children during the school holidays. The shorter session length allows children to explore the club at a comfortable pace, build confidence and begin getting used to being away from their parent or carer. Each session provides a balance of play, creativity, sensory exploration and gentle learning within a safe and supportive environment. Children can make new friends, enjoy new experiences and become familiar with the club before they may be ready to move into longer sessions in the future. 1. Two-Hour Sessions Our Under 8s sessions are limited to two hours, making them more manageable for younger children who may not yet be ready for a full day. These sessions can support children with settling in, building independence and becoming familiar with our staff and environment. 2. Age-Appropriate Experiences Children can enjoy a variety of carefully planned activities, including arts and crafts, sensory play, imaginative activities, outdoor exploration, games, animal interactions and much more. Activities are adapted to suit the children attending and their individual stages of development. 3. Experienced and Supportive Staff Our sessions are led by experienced, DBS-checked team members who are passionate about supporting children. Staff create a warm and encouraging environment where children can feel safe, included and confident to explore. 4. Support for Additional Needs We understand that every child is different. Where possible, activities and support are adapted around each child’s individual needs, interests, communication and sensory preferences. Parents and carers are encouraged to provide us with any important information before their child attends. 5. Safety and Supervision Children are supervised throughout their session, and their safety and wellbeing remain our highest priority. Our team follows appropriate safeguarding, health and safety, collection and emergency procedures. 6. Fun and Friendship The Under 8's Discovery Club gives children the opportunity to play, be creative, try new activities and begin forming friendships in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

Cancellation Policy
We advise that you arrange an initial assessment before booking if your child requires 1:1 support during our Clubs or Holiday Clubs, so we can ensure the appropriate support and staffing arrangements are in place. Please note that all invoices for club attendance must be paid in full prior to the scheduled club days. If an invoice has not been paid before the club session, unfortunately your child will not be able to attend until payment has been received. This policy ensures we can safely plan staffing, resources, and support for all children attending. Exceptions to this payment policy will only be made where an agreed funding arrangement is in place through an EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan). Failure to comply with the payment policy may result in the loss of the reserved space for that session. If invoices remain unpaid after the due date, a late payment administration fee of £10 may be added to the outstanding balance. If the invoice remains unpaid 7 days after the due date, an additional £10 late payment fee may be applied. Continued non-payment may also result in future bookings being declined until the outstanding balance has been cleared. Cancellation Policy If you need to cancel a booking, please contact us at least 7 days before the scheduled session. Cancellations made within 7 days of the session may still be charged, as staffing, resources, and spaces will already have been allocated. Please note that cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice will be charged in full, as it is not possible for us to reallocate the space or adjust staffing at such short notice. Failure to attend a booked session without prior notice will be treated as a late cancellation and charged in full. If, due to circumstances outside of our control, we need to cancel a session, you will be entitled to a full refund, which will be processed within 10 working days.
