Outpost Tech Club
A tech, maker & social club for young people aged 13+
Service Description
OUTPOST is NFOS’s tech, maker and social club for young people aged 12+, bringing together technology, creativity, practical skills and a relaxed place to hang out. Sessions are hands on and interest led, with opportunities to explore 3D printing and CAD design, coding, gaming, VR, drones and RC cars, engineering projects, custom designs and personalised makes, expressive arts and much more. We’ll also mix things up with occasional activities and outings such as arcades and laser tag. Young people can build, experiment, create, problem solve, learn new skills, meet others or simply enjoy spending time in a welcoming space. Projects can develop over several sessions, with plenty of opportunity for young people to bring their own ideas and interests. Sessions are led by staff with practical experience across the technology and equipment used at OUTPOST. We also aim to welcome volunteer guest engineers, coders, makers and STEM/tech professionals who can share real world knowledge, demonstrate skills and inspire new projects. 📍 Blackfield Hub 📅 Every other Monday ⏰ 4:30pm–7:00pm 💷 £5 per session 👥 Ages 12+ | Maximum 10 spaces A low cost OUTPOST Tuck Shop is also available for drinks, sweets and snacks.

Booking Policy – Initial Assessments Our Initial Assessments are provided free of charge and must be booked in advance, subject to availability. Submitting a booking request through our website does not automatically confirm your appointment. Your requested date and time will be held as a provisional booking until it has been reviewed by our team. We will contact you as soon as possible to confirm your appointment or discuss an alternative if your requested slot is unavailable. If you need to cancel or rearrange your appointment, we kindly ask that you provide at least 48 hours' notice so we can offer the appointment to another family.
