Little Explorers Sensory Group 🧩
A Calm & Inclusive Sensory Stay & Play Group With Gentle Early Years & SEND Support
Service Description
Little Explorers Sensory Group is a calm and inclusive sensory stay & play group for toddlers, preschool children and their parents/carers, created by New Forest Outreach Support C.I.C. Children can enjoy sensory play, soft play, bubble tube resources, tuff trays, movement activities, creative play and calm social interaction opportunities within a safe, gated sensory environment. While children explore, parents/carers can relax nearby with complimentary tea, coffee and squash, allowing them the opportunity to step back slightly while comfortably observing their children play and interact more independently. An available member of staff will be present throughout sessions to support interaction, facilitate play, offer gentle early years and SEND aware guidance, and provide signposting to additional support and resources where appropriate. Little Explorers aims to provide a welcoming, understanding and non-judgemental community space where families can connect, share experiences and access support naturally. Booking Policy – Initial Assessments Our Initial Assessments are provided free of charge and must be booked in advance, subject to availability. Submitting a booking request through our website does not automatically confirm your appointment. Your requested date and time will be held as a provisional booking until it has been reviewed by our team. We will contact you as soon as possible to confirm your appointment or discuss an alternative if your requested slot is unavailable. If you need to cancel or rearrange your appointment, we kindly ask that you provide at least 48 hours' notice so we can offer the appointment to another family. Please note that booking or attending an Initial Assessment does not provide immediate access to our services. Depending on the support required, additional onboarding steps may be necessary, such as completing registration paperwork, reviewing supporting information, carrying out risk assessments, or arranging a trial session. Our team will guide you through any next steps following your assessment. Following the assessment, we will discuss our recommendations and suitable support options with you. Any ongoing services or placements will be offered subject to availability, individual suitability, and completion of the required onboarding process. 🌿
