Arts & Crafts
Our arts and crafts activities give young people the chance to get creative, explore different materials and express themselves in their own way. From painting and drawing to model making and bigger creative projects, activities are adapted so everyone can join in, whether they prefer following an idea or creating something completely their own.

Trips & Outings
Our trips and outings give young people the chance to explore new places, enjoy different experiences and build confidence out in the community. Trips are planned around the ages, needs and interests of the young people attending, with 1:1 support available where needed, helping make outings accessible for young people who may not always be able to take part in these experiences without additional support.

Themed Days
Our themed days bring an extra bit of fun to Discovery Club, with the Hub, activities and experiences all centred around a different theme. Young people can join in with themed crafts, games, challenges and activities, and are welcome to come dressed up if they would like to — but it is always completely optional.

Group Games
Our group games give young people the chance to have fun together, build confidence and develop teamwork and social skills. Games are adapted so everyone can join in at their own level, with no pressure to take part if they would rather watch or do something else.

Gaming
Our gaming and social activities give young people the chance to relax, have fun and connect with others through shared games and friendly challenges. From racing games and multiplayer gaming to board games, young people can join in at their own pace and enjoy spending time with others who share similar interests.

Sensory Experiences
Our sensory experiences give children the chance to explore, regulate and relax through a variety of textures, lights, movement and hands-on sensory play. Children can also enjoy time in our sensory room, with features such as the swing, soft seating, calming lights, tactile resources and quiet spaces, all designed to support different sensory preferences.

Workshops
Our workshops give children the chance to explore exciting new skills and technology, including 3D printing, textile design and other creative projects. Activities are adapted to be age-appropriate and accessible, so everyone gets the opportunity to take part, create something and have a go.

Food Based Activities
Our food-based activities give children the chance to get creative with food through fun, hands-on experiences such as decorating biscuits, making cupcakes, creating snack treats and decorating waffles. They’re a relaxed and enjoyable way to encourage creativity, independence and trying something new.
Discovery Club Times
Discovery Club runs from 8:30am–4:30pm, giving children a full day to enjoy activities, social time and new experiences. For families who need a little extra flexibility, our Late Stayers block is available until 6:00pm, giving parents and carers more time for work, travel or other commitments while children continue to enjoy a relaxed end to their day.

Allocated Time Slots
We use allocated pick-up time slots to keep the end of the day calm and organised. Collections are staggered so fewer families are arriving at the same time, helping to reduce noise, waiting and overwhelm for children while allowing staff to give each family a smoother, more relaxed handover.

Why Do We Do Initial Assessments?
We complete an initial assessment before booking so we can get to know your child as an individual, including their interests, preferences, routines and anything that helps them feel comfortable. This allows our team to prepare activities and resources they’ll enjoy, plan the right level of support and create an inclusive experience that is tailored to them from the very beginning.
